If you have been involved in a Road Traffic Accident in the last 3 years, which you believe not to have been your fault, British Bike Claims will pursue a claim for compensation on your behalf.

We have broken down the claims process into bite size form. However, this is a standard process and does not take into account complicated cases and those involving serious injuries.
- i) Contact British Bike Claims to get your claim underway
- ii) British Bike Claims will formally register your claim with the Third Party Insurer’s and arrange a hire vehicle, if appropriate
- iii) Once you return your completed paperwork, British Bike Claims will arrange an engineer’s inspection of your motorbike, apply for police reports, witness statements and arrange a medical examination for a report to be prepared on your injuries. This will later be used by the Third Party Insurer’s to assess compensation for your injuries
- iv) If you have serious injuries, we will arrange physiotherapy, MRI scans and any other relevant treatment to help you on the road to recovery. When you have reached a satisfactory recovery, we will arrange a medical examination
- v) Once we receive your engineer’s report, and it has been approved by you, we will request an interim payment from the Third Party Insurer’s for the pre-accident value or the cost of repairs
- vi) We will request from you, details of your additional losses, such as replacement clothing, helmet, loss of earnings and medical expenses to ensure you recoup all of your losses
- vii) British Bike Claims will submit full details of your claim when we have all available evidence, including approved medical reports and engineers reports, to the Third Party Insurer’s in order for them to put their proposals forward to settle your claim
In the meantime, the Third Party Insurer’s have approximately 4 months to make a decision on liability. Should a decision not be made within this time, we will submit full details of your claim with a view to issuing court proceedings if a satisfactory offer isn’t made within a given time frame.
As British Bike Claims is run by bikers, we know the importance of your motorbike, clothing and helmet. We work alongside the UK’s leading motorbike repair centre to get your motorbike back on the road using the best parts available, and paid for by the Third Party Insurers.
We will also recover the cost of replacing your clothing, helmet, gloves and boots from the Third Party Insurers.
The total amount awarded to you for your injury, not taking into account any additional losses, is based on many factors including the nature and severity of the injury, and is set by national, Government guidelines as seen below.
Remember - the figures shown are only for the injury itself and exclude consequential damages. The total you receive may be considerably more.

All our Claims are dealt with a No Win No Fee basis, or what is sometimes known as a Conditional Fee Agreement.
No Win No Fee came into existence when Legal Aid was abolished for Personal Injury Claims. By signing a No Win No Fee agreement, you are protecting yourself and your Solicitor.
No Win No Fee is basically that, you don’t win, so you don’t pay. However, like all agreements there are a few conditions that are seldom revealed that may result in you being liable for all legal costs. We however, would like to point those out to you now:
- 1) You fail to adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the agreement
- 2) You fail to give instructions to your Solicitor and therefore your claim is closed
- 3) You transfer your file to another firm of Solicitors or decide to pursue your claim alone, and go on to recover compensation
- 4) You fail to take your Solicitors advice and you proceed to court and lose your claim
Taking all of the above into consideration, we want to protect all of our Clients so you do not end up out of pocket. We therefore take out an insurance policy on your behalf, and pay the premium, which will pay our costs should any of the above occur.
This is how we remain 100% free. No jargon and no hidden charges
